The Consultation

During an initial consultation, we will look at your health and or sporting goals taking into consideration various factors that can impact optimum health and performance.

Nutrition only plays a part of optimum health so I will also be asking you about other aspects of your lifestyle.

The five pillars of optimum health are:

  • Nutrition
  • Sleep
  • Stress
  • Movement
  • Relationships

I will also look at what is working well for you and what is not working well, what you would like to achieve and in what timeframe.

I may suggest various functional tests depending on your symptoms,

For example,

  • stool testing to assess gastrointestinal function and the health of the gut microbiome.
  • Adrenal saliva testing to assess cortisol output during a 24-hour window.
  • Urinary hormonal testing (DUTCH test) to assess complete hormone output and the detoxification of hormones.

I work in collaboration with other practitioners to support your best outcome, including physiotherapists, osteopaths, chiropractors, Personal Trainers, sports coaches, and massage therapists as well as referring to specialist medical practitioners.
